despair

I'm not going to write a blog post about how people should be grateful for what they have and make a cliche remark or two about how someone else likely has it so much worse. What's the point in that anyway?

A PICTURE SAYS A THOUSAND WORDS. 'nough said.

    1. I took this picture a few days ago near all the shopping malls downtown here in KL. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't imagine anything I'd do would really even help.

      The very definition of despair:

      despair |diˈspe(ə)r|
      noun
the complete loss or absence of hope

I see wealth and poverty coexisting all around me in such close proximity and extremes that I just don't know what to make of it sometimes. It's nothing new to me, honestly, I've dealt with the harsher side of the world for a long time. I've been fortunate enough never to been buried by it... but I have to admit, I'm clueless as to what to do about any of it. For that matter I don't know what to do with myself a lot of the time.

All I could do was take a few pictures in this case.

Life is wonderful. It's also cruel and completely unfair.
